You will provide direct patient care for children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. This involves providing Med-Surg and ICU level of nursing care. Hours: This PRN night shift position will work 12 hour shifts as needed. Key Responsibitlities: The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts. Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching. Required Qualifications: BSN degree or in process Missouri RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads) Pediatric and ICU experience Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
