Your day at NTT DATA The Oracle database engineer, specialist or architect supports complex Oracle database services and associated high-availability, recovery and performance technologies. Key responsibilities Monitor Oracle databases, tablespaces, jobs, backups and performance. Resolve incidents involving availability, connectivity, capacity and performance. Install, configure, patch and upgrade Oracle database platforms. Manage backup and recovery using approved tools and procedures. Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard and other resilience technologies. Perform database and SQL performance tuning. Administer database access, auditing and security controls. Support migrations, upgrades and platform transformations. Automate health checks, reporting and recurring administration. Maintain database documentation, recovery procedures and configuration records. At senior levels, lead complex performance and recovery investigations. At L5, define Oracle database strategy, architecture and lifecycle plans. Technical knowledge Oracle Database. Oracle RAC.
