As a Architect/Delivery Lead- Senior Manager you will lead client support efforts within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice, guiding multidisciplinary teams through the design and delivery of data engineering solutions that advance data modernisation priorities. As a Senior Manager you will apply strategic judgment, drive large programs, and bring together technical skills, business insight, and clear communication to manage complex workstreams, resolve issues, and shape outcomes across multiple stakeholders. In this role at PwC, you will oversee delivery across cloud engineering, data architecture, and engineering execution, while helping teams adapt approaches, communicate progress, and maintain operational discipline across client engagements. Responsibilities - Leading data engineering architecture and delivery workstreams across cloud-based modernization initiatives - Translating client goals into scalable data platform designs, delivery plans, and technical roadmaps - Guiding teams in building, integrating, and tuning data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouse solutions - Applying Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and Hadoop to support modern data environments - Driving data modeling, transformation, validation, and quality practices across complex implementations - Advising clients on data architecture, platform selection, security controls, and performance optimization - Coordinating delivery across technical teams, client stakeholders, and business leaders to address risks and dependencies - Coaching delivery teams through ambiguity, prioritization changes, and complex technical problem solving - Developing repeatable methods for Agile scalability, rapid experimentation, and data modernization execution - Validating solution designs and implementation outcomes against business objectives, technical requirements, and delivery timelines What You Must Have - At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 12+ years of experience - Oral and written proficiency in English required Proficient with Azure cloud computing, including big data technologies. - Experience with deep understanding in both traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Data warehousing, big data, NoSQL and business analytics - Rich experience working in Azure ADLS, Data Bricks, Data Flows, HDInsight, Azure Analysis services - Experience in building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming - Understanding of big data use-cases and Lambda/Kappa design patterns - Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trends. - Architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures (i.e. having an architectural sense for connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data, etc.) - Demonstrable hands-on experience implementing Big Data solutions using Microsoft Data Platform and Azure Data Services - Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure HD Insight, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure CosmosDB and Power BI - Exposure to Open-Source technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, Kafka, Solr/Elastic Search What Sets You Apart - Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics - Demonstrating data modernization delivery across complex client environments - Applying data architecture, modeling, and pipeline design skills - Leveraging AWS, Azure, or Databricks platform experience - Translating technical findings into clear client messages - Coaching teams through ambiguity and project complexity Travel Requirements Not Specified Job Posting End Date Are you ready to make a difference?
