SENIOR LEVEL$120K–160K/YR

We’re seeking a seasoned construction leader to oversee luxury residential projects across Greater Boston, combining hands-on jobsite supervision with full project management responsibility. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with custom homes, major renovations, multifamily developments, or historic properties and can balance craftsmanship, schedule, budget, and client expectations from planning through final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct residential projects through preconstruction, active construction, owner turnover, and final closeout.
  • Take charge of daily site operations, ensuring crews maintain productivity, safety, workmanship, and project quality.
  • Build and manage construction schedules, short-term work plans, trade sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, designers, inspectors, consultants, and homeowners.
  • Translate architectural plans, specifications, and contracts into clear field requirements and actionable work plans.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, change orders, daily reports, and project records.
  • Run site meetings, coordinate trade activities, conduct quality reviews, and track progress against milestones.
  • Resolve design discrepancies, hidden site conditions, material delays, and construction challenges before they disrupt delivery.
  • Plan labor allocation, equipment needs, material deliveries, site access, and subcontractor schedules.
  • Maintain exceptional craftsmanship across structural elements, architectural details, custom millwork, and interior finishes.
  • Monitor job costs, labor productivity, material consumption, and subcontractor performance to protect project budgets.
  • Enforce jobsite safety requirements, OSHA practices, housekeeping procedures, and site security standards.
  • Keep jobsites organized, safe, and suitable for complex residential construction.
  • Update clients and project stakeholders on progress, schedule changes, financial concerns, and pending decisions.
  • Lead punch-list completion, homeowner walkthroughs, warranty coordination, turnover documentation, and project closeout.
  • Build lasting relationships with homeowners, design teams, trade partners, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of construction experience with progressively greater responsibility.
  • 10+ years of residential construction project management or field leadership experience in Greater Boston.
  • Background managing luxury custom homes, multifamily projects, substantial renovations, or historic restorations.
  • Experience with historic renovations, brownstone restorations, or architect-led residential projects is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Boston-area permitting, inspections, construction practices, urban site constraints, and local subcontractor networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee projects from early planning through final completion.
  • Strong command of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documentation.
  • Experience working in occupied properties, tight urban sites, or technically challenging environments.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, or comparable tools.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident on-site leadership with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with homeowners, architects, interior designers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $120,000–$160,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Consistent pipeline of high-end residential projects
