Reporting Actuary.

REMOTEFINANCE & LEGAL
Are you looking for a role where actuarial reporting goes beyond delivering numbers? If you enjoy understanding the story behind actuarial results, challenging assumptions, improving processes and influencing decision-making, this role will give you the opportunity to work at the heart of NN Spain’s reporting and financial performance framework. You will play a key role in the evolution of our IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting landscape, helping ensure that actuarial information is robust, transparent and meaningful for Finance, Risk, auditors and senior management. At the same time, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to automation initiatives, enhance reporting processes and strengthen actuarial capabilities across the business. What this role offers High visibility and business impact Your analyses and reporting will support key business decisions, helping stakeholders understand financial performance, risks and future opportunities. Exposure to IFRS 17 and Solvency II You'll work across two of the most relevant actuarial frameworks in the industry, developing expertise that is highly valued across the market. Continuous improvement and innovation You'll have the opportunity to streamline processes, reduce manual activities and leverage automation tools to increase efficiency and control. International environment You will collaborate with different functions across Finance, Risk, Actuarial and the wider NN Group, expanding both your technical and business perspective. Flexible and people-focused culture Remote working, flexible hours, learning opportunities and a strong wellbeing culture allow you to grow professionally while maintaining balance in your personal life. Questions candidates often ask "Do I need experience in both IFRS 17 and Solvency II?" Not necessarily. IFRS 17 is currently a strategic priority for the team and experience in this area is highly valued. However, strong Solvency II experience combined with reporting, valuation and analytical expertise can also be a great fit. "Is this role focused only on reporting?" No. Beyond reporting, you will contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, model governance, audits, forecasting activities and business decision support. "Will I have opportunities to influence change?" Absolutely. We are looking for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo, improving processes and helping the team evolve its reporting capabilities. What will help you succeed in this role A degree in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline, providing the technical foundations needed to understand complex actuarial and financial concepts. At least 4 years of experience in actuarial reporting, valuation, financial reporting or risk reporting within the insurance industry, allowing you to navigate reporting cycles confidently and contribute from day one. Experience with IFRS 17 reporting, including areas such as BEL, Risk Adjustment, CSM, Analysis of Movements, experience variances and operating result analysis. This will help you quickly add value in one of the team's key strategic priorities. Knowledge of Solvency II reporting, including Technical Provisions, Own Funds, OCG, SCR or ORSA, which will strengthen your ability to operate across regulatory and financial frameworks. Experience with R3S, Prophet or similar actuarial modelling platforms, helping you analyze, validate and interpret actuarial outputs effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to investigate movements, identify drivers and communicate conclusions clearly. Fluent English, both written and spoken, since you will regularly interact with international stakeholders across NN Group. Knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python, R, Power BI or automation tools is highly valued, as we are committed to increasing efficiency and simplifying reporting processes. Curiosity and a mindset of continuous improvement, helping you identify opportunities to improve controls, reduce complexity and enhance reporting quality. Your mission Your mission will be to ensure the delivery of accurate, transparent and well-controlled actuarial reporting across IFRS 17 and Solvency II frameworks, while continuously improving processes, strengthening governance and supporting informed business decisions that contribute to NN Spain’s financial performance and strategic objectives. What will you do? Perform IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting activities, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of actuarial results. Analyze and explain movements in liabilities, technical provisions and operating results, translating complex actuarial outputs into meaningful business insights. Review assumptions, methodologies, models, controls and data quality to ensure robust and reliable reporting. Support audits, business planning, forecasting, model validation and governance activities, contributing actuarial expertise across the organisation. Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives, reducing manual processes and enhancing operational efficiency. Ready to help shape the future of actuarial reporting? If you're looking for a role where technical excellence, business impact and continuous improvement come together, this is an opportunity to join a team that is actively shaping the future of actuarial reporting at NN Spain.
