Role & Responsibilities: Responsible for creating and effecting property tax strategies across core real estate sectors with an emphasis on driving best in class property tax performance by improving bottom-line profitability Lead a geographically dispersed property tax team focused on performance and team development Manage the property tax appeal process and the property compliance process including budgeting for covered assets without proportional cost growth Collaborate cross-functionally with Asset Management and Investments to support platform decision making Continual assessment of scope of assets with an emphasis on growth using AI enabled and developed strategies Your Qualifications: Undergraduate/Graduate degree in accounting, finance or related field Experience in all aspects of team management and personnel growth Technical background in ad valorem taxation of real and personal property tax and property tax accounting Property tax appeals experience -- direct representation before multiple jurisdictions in multiple states, for multiple property classes as well as external advisor selection and management Demonstrated flexibility related to changing priorities Excellent communication skills Curiosity about technological innovations in property tax space Advanced knowledge of property tax advisors and databases Your Career @ Brookfield: At Brookfield, your career progression is important to us.
