Accounts Receivable Executive - Contract.

💼 Role Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Executive to join our Finance team within Bosch Energy and Building Solutions on a one-year contract basis. In this role, you will drive accurate and timely billing whilst managing customer accounts and cash collections to support our financial performance and operational efficiency. You'll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that thrives on innovation and delivering real business outcomes.

🎯 What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Prepare accurate and timely project invoices, including milestone billing, progress claims, change orders, retention sums and final project close-out invoices.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Sales teams to monitor project milestones and billing schedules, ensuring invoices comply with customer agreements and internal requirements.
  • Process credit notes, billing adjustments and customer refunds with the required approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor AR ageing reports and follow up professionally and persistently with customers on overdue invoices through telephone calls, emails and formal correspondence.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies and respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Apply incoming payments accurately to the appropriate customer accounts, invoices and projects, and investigate unapplied cash or short payments.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, foreign-currency AR revaluation, doubtful-debt provisions and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports covering sales, accounts receivable, billing summaries, cash-flow forecasts and group reporting requirements.
  • Assist with GST reporting, corporate income tax documentation, customer master-data maintenance, stocktaking, detective controls and internal or external audit queries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and digitalise the Bill-to-Cash process, whilst collaborating with Project Management, Sales, Operations and Finance teams to resolve invoicing and collection issues.
  • General Ledger activities, including preparing recurring and non-recurring journal entries, adjustment, reclassification and reversal entries, together with the relevant journal voucher documentation.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, obtain HOD confirmation on asset holdings, and perform physical asset verification to ensure the accuracy and completeness of asset records.

👤 What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

Must-Haves:

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a related accounting function
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
