Q²Lab works on electronic and optical devices that exploit both classical and quantum functionalities. It is built mainly on GaN semiconductors, complemented by 2D materials, liquid crystals, and perovskites. Its work spans MBE/MOVPE growth, in-house characterization, and device fabrication in NTU's EEE clean-room. The target devices are high-power/high-frequency transistors, nonlinear photonic circuits (including all-optical computing), and quantum emitters and qubits, with topological physics and new light-matter coupling regimes incorporated therein. Key responsibilities: The lab seeks a meticulous, systematic Research Fellow to set up a new optical laboratory with nonlinear and quantum capabilities and use it to develop an all-optical computing platform.
