HarbourVest is currently seeking candidates for an Associate position in the Asia Direct Investment team based in Singapore. HarbourVest’s Direct Investment team co-invests in buyout transactions alongside established fund managers and participates in growth equity investments. The ideal candidate is someone who: Has strong quantitative and financial modelling abilities. Demonstrates a high level of maturity and is able to multi-task with little supervision. Has a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Is a team player with a strong sense of collaboration. Has a deep interest in and desire to learn about private equity and related markets. What you will do: Investment due diligence, including company and industry research. Financial analysis, modelling, and quantitative analysis. Developing investment recommendations and the supporting Investment Committee papers. Participating in team and Investment Committee discussions and voicing your opinion. Coordinating legal documentation and transaction closing. Monitoring existing portfolio companies. And other responsibilities as required. What you bring: 2-6 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience. Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance and accounting concepts. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively operate in a team setting. Education Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 2 – 6 years of private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience with exposure to corporate finance and financial modelling at the analyst or associate level.
