ChristianaCare's School-Based Health Centers are embedded in high schools and elementary schools across the Newcastle and Kent Counties. The School-Based Health Centers were established especially for students to help make the best quality health care available in our community more accessible to them. School-Based Health Centers | ChristianaCare As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care. Duties / Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical and administrative tasks, such as assisting with exams, and maintaining exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access. Position Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
