This is a full-time appointment beginning August 2027. The Department of Sociology at UNH is a collegial department with strengths in criminology, health, community and environmental sociology, and stratification. Develop courses in their area of expertise, such as technology and society, artificial intelligence and society, digital sociology, computational social science, or health, technology, and society. Mentor students. Work collaboratively with faculty in the sociology department and across UNH departments and programs. Support departmental and university goals through service on committees or other administrative roles. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field by the time of appointment; candidates who are ABD and anticipate completing the Ph.D. by August 2027 will be considered. Evidence of scholarly potential through publications, manuscripts, presentations, or other research accomplishments appropriate to career stage. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and ability to contribute to the undergraduate sociology curriculum, including core courses, courses in their area of expertise, and other areas of departmental need. Evidence of collegiality and willingness to contribute to the department, university, and profession.
