What if some cargo currently planned for air freight from Asia could reach Europe reliably, within the required delivery window and at a significantly lower cost?

Our Asia-to-Europe Air-to-Road solution is already operational. At Everwest, we now see a major opportunity to scale it and establish road as a reliable, faster-than-ocean and significantly more cost-effective alternative to air freight for suitable shipments.

Our solution challenges the traditional assumption that urgent or time-sensitive cargo must always travel by air.

For suitable shipments, express road transportation can provide the required speed and reliability at a substantially lower cost than air freight, and much faster transit times than conventional ocean freight.

We are now looking for a senior commercial leader to build on our proven, profitable solution and scale it into a significant business across Europe.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be part of the Everwest leadership team and have the authority, senior-level access and cross-functional support needed to scale the business.

The role

As our Air-to-Road Director, you will develop the proposition, identify the cargo flows where road can successfully replace air freight, and bring the solution to customers across Europe.

You will work with European companies importing time-sensitive goods from Asia, understand their transit-time, inventory, service and cost requirements, and demonstrate where switching suitable cargo from air to road can create measurable business value.

This is not a traditional sales role. It is about scaling a proven solution, educating the market, creating demand and converting customer opportunities into profitable, recurring business.

Behind you will be Everwest’s extensive logistics experience, strong road transportation capabilities and an international team of commercial, operational, pricing, customs and network specialists.

You will also be able to leverage our scale, customer relationships, brand and senior-level network across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Own and further develop the Air-to-Road product and its commercial proposition.
• Build the European go-to-market strategy for Air-to-Road.
• Identify cargo flows and customer segments where express road transportation can effectively replace air freight.
• Build and manage a focused pipeline of strategic European customers.
• Open doors with senior supply chain, logistics and procurement decision-makers.
• Educate customers about where shifting suitable cargo from air to road can create value.
• Develop customer-specific business cases based on transit time, reliability, inventory impact and cost.
• Translate customer requirements into practical and competitive transportation solutions.
• Work closely with operations, pricing, customs and network teams to define lanes, pricing models and service specifications.
• Lead opportunities from initial customer discussions through pilot implementation.
• Convert successful pilot projects into profitable, recurring business.
• Take responsibility for revenue, gross margin and commercial performance.
• Create a repeatable operating and commercial model that can be scaled across Everwest.

Who we are looking for

You may currently, or previously, have held a senior commercial, product, business development or key-account role in:

• Air freight
• Global freight forwarding
• Time-critical or express logistics
• Multimodal transportation
• Asia-to-Europe supply chains
• Strategic logistics sales or key-account management

Experience with European cargo owners in sectors such as fashion and apparel, consumer electronics, automotive or other time-sensitive industries would be especially valuable.

Deep industry knowledge is essential, but customer access matters just as much. You should already have strong relationships with senior European supply chain, logistics and procurement decision-makers and be able to initiate relevant customer conversations quickly.

We are looking for someone who combines commercial credibility with an entrepreneurial mindset: someone who can build customer-specific solutions, establish successful pilots and turn an established proposition into a significant and sustainable business.

As the Air-to-Road business grows, the scope of the role may expand to include broader multimodal solutions across Europe.
