IBHS is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to understanding how buildings perform in severe weather and turning that research into practical solutions that help communities become more resilient. Through applied research, testing, and engineering insight, IBHS works to advance building science in ways that can inform real-world decisions and improve outcomes before, during, and after major weather events.
This opportunity is designed for emerging researchers and future engineers who want to contribute to meaningful work at the intersection of science, resilience, and the built environment. As part of the 2027 Intern and Fellowship with IBHS, you will support research efforts that explore how building materials and systems respond under demanding conditions while gaining exposure to collaborative, applied research in a mission-focused setting.
