Summary: The San Diego Union-Tribune is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role manages daily workflows, internal processes, and cross-department communication to keep the company running efficiently. Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in the Southern California area. What you will do: Process Management: Streamline daily business procedures and improve overall operational efficiency, maintain operational documentation, and identify bottlenecks Budget and Finance: Assist with budget preparation, track expenses, and prepare financial expense reports, working closely with Finance to reconcile operational records Communication: Act as a bridge between different departments to solve day-to-day workplace issues and align workflows, ensuring clear communication across teams Reporting & Administrative Support: Maintain operational dashboards and compile recurring status reports for management What you will bring: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Experience: 2–4 years of experience in business operations, project coordination, or administrative management Skills: Proficiency in office productivity tools and financial tracking systems, along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities Benefits and Compensation: The hourly range is $24.04 - $28.85.
