Western Express, Inc is recruiting for a Trailer Technician to join our Maintenance team. We are looking for candidates with mechanical aptitude and a drive to learn, with the goal of advancement within the department. Western Express is an asset-based trucking company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with terminals and facilities located across the United States. Principle Duties Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair fleet of dry van and flatbed semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components Preventative maintenance to include preventative, warrantable and accident related repairs Inspection of suspension, wheel-end, braking and structural components to match company and DOT specifications Test equipment for performance issues Must be self-motivated, punctual, and eager to learn Compensation: $20.50-$30 per hour depending on experience. Work Experience Two years of verifiable experience is preferred but not required Tooling is required; applicable to repairs listed in job description. Main air tools will be provided Must perform at 85% or above productivity and 95% or above efficiency Benefits available through Blue Cross Blue Shield to include Medical, Dental, Vision, also a Fidelity 401(k).
