Are you curious about being part of our growth story while evolving your skills in a culture that will welcome your unique contributions? If so, let's start the conversation. Position Purpose The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is a hands-on physical role responsible for safely executing the day-to-day handling, preparation, sequence tracking, and moving of archival and federal records. Operating under the direct supervision of the Project Supervisor, Clerks ensure that high-volume records are packaged, verified, tracked, and transported securely while strictly maintaining the chain-of-custody. Key Responsibilities Physical Relocation & Handling: Safely pull, stage, lift, and load record boxes (weighing up to 50 lbs) from shelving units, including high-bay storage areas up to 15 feet. Labeling & Tracking: Apply and affix barcode/RFID labels to boxes in exact positions to facilitate precise electronic tracking. Sequence Control & Palletization: Pack boxes in strict chronological and alphanumeric sequence onto pallets. Assist in applying protective corner guards, wrapping pallets securely in stretch-wrap, and prepping loads for transport. Chain-of-Custody Compliance: Assist the Supervisor in executing inventory audit checks. Verify that all physical boxes match designated pull lists before staging. Equipment Operation: Safely operate manual material handling equipment, including wheeled carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks. Site Organization: Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work zones. Complete daily cleanup of aisles, staging areas, and transportation vehicles. Requirements & Qualifications Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout an 8-hour shift. Comfortable working at heights using secure platforms or mobile lifts. Vetting & Security: Must successfully undergo fingerprinting and pass a federal background check. National Security Compliance: Strictly US Citizens only (dual citizenship is not permitted due to NOFORN/CUI requirements). Attention to Detail: Ability to read and match long sequences of alphanumeric characters on barcode labels and pull lists to prevent misfiling or inventory loss. Mandatory Training: Must complete NARA's on-site orientation and IRS Disclosure/Safeguards Training (IRC Section 6103) on taxpayer confidentiality before handling any project files.
