The Water Jet Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining water jet cutting machines to produce precision-cut metal and composite parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with water jet cutting technology, understands material properties, and can read and interpret blueprints. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate water jet cutting machines according to job specifications. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of water jet machines. Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders. Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications: Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of experience operating water jet cutting machines. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water jet cutting technology, machine programming, and material properties. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Quality Focus: Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments. Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
