Responsibilities
- Lead welding engineering activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Develop and implement welding procedures and guidelines to meet industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of welding work to ensure quality assurance and compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and advice on complex welding issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and welding technicians in best practices and techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest welding technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in welding engineering within the Oil & Energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and codes such as AWS, ASME, or API.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in welding simulation software and engineering design tools.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required for project assignments.
