About the role Main tasks and responsibilities: · Prepare and co-ordinate technical and commercial proposal activities with Regional Offices and Local Headquarters · Prepare price calculation and tender documentation · Work closely with cross-functional departments (process design & technology, project management, shipping/logistic, inter-company) and suppliers/sub-contractors to prepare cost estimates for tenders · Ensure that the specifications offered to the customer are within the capability and capacity of the company · Ensure that the customers’ requirements are adequately conveyed and properly reflected in proposal. · Any other duties that are assigned by superior. · Flexible, open to change and new information. Strong awareness to work in an international environment. · Ability to interpret customer requirements. · Customer-oriented, team player, strong commitment to achieve results. · Positive attitude, open-minded, good communication skills. · Ability to work under pressure, available for frequent travelling Education requirements: · Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field Job experience: · 1 - 3 years’ experience in technical sales or back office sales within the oil & gas / chemical process / petrochemical / fine chemical / oleochemical industries. · Candidates with experience in plant operation and DCS control practices will be advantageous. Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language and other requirements): · Excellent in both oral & written English. Competency in Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred. · Fair knowledge of chemical separation processes knowledge · Require business travel, particularly in the APAC region. · Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software such as Word / Excel / PowerPoint. · Proficiency in use of simulation software such as PRO/II or ASPEN will be advantageous.
