Job Description: AI initiatives and innovation Research and trial AI tools for IT operations (AIOps), such as log analysis, anomaly detection, alert triage and root-cause support. Build prototypes that use LLMs to generate runbooks, health-check reports and troubleshooting guides. Help create AI assistants that search internal documentation and past incidents. Write reusable prompts, templates and how-to guides, and run short demos to help colleagues adopt AI. Track and report the time saved and quality gained from using AI on real work. Infrastructure and cloud Support the build, configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers, databases, and virtual or cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Automate repetitive tasks with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible). Assist with monitoring, performance testing, backups and disaster-recovery exercises. Help prepare technical documentation, diagrams and reports for customers. IT security Assist with security hardening, patching and vulnerability scanning. Support access control, certificate management and secure remote access. Help define safe-use guidelines for AI tools in IT operations, including data privacy and access controls. Qualifications and skills Required Recent Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking or Cybersecurity. Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration, and of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). Basic scripting ability (Python, PowerShell or Bash). Regular, practical use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) in study or personal projects. Curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, and confidence working with colleagues and customers. Good written and verbal communication in English. Advantageous A project applying AI or automation to IT operations, security or cloud (final-year project, home lab or GitHub). Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) or AWS Cloud Practitioner. Interest in cybersecurity shown through labs or capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges.
