Breeze is hiring- join us! The Senior Accountant at Breeze Airways will report to the accounting manager and assist the accounting team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role will interact with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and commercial teams and report to the Manager Accounting Here's what you'll do Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required. Prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred Review general journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries Responsible for daily preparation and management of assigned accounting processes and records Ensure activity for assigned areas are properly and accurately recorded and maintained in the sub ledger and general ledger for closing process Assist in improving, analyzing, and maintaining systems related to assigned areas within the Breeze Accounting Department Prepare and maintain roll forwards and other accounting reports for certain accounts required in the closing process Assist with internal reporting packages and external reporting needs Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures Respond to needs of management, including reporting needs as they pertain to assigned areas Work closely with others in all areas of the organization to ensure proper coding and communication Prepare and perform account reconciliations for the month close process Provide support and assistance to comply with external audit requests Other duties as assigned Here’s what you need to be successful Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree a plus CPA preferred, Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required. Prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines Advanced understanding of financial and business processes and the risks surrounding those processes Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Preferred Qualifications Experience in a public accounting firm Skills/Talents Exemplifies Breeze’s safety culture, values, and mission Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization Physical Demands & Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment Clear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision Perks of the Job Health, Vision and Dental – Full Time Health Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match 401K with Breeze Employee Match Generous PTO Travel on Breeze and other Airlines too!
