Operational Excellence Lead | NTS Singapore.

FULL TIMESENIOR LEVEL

At NTS, we make it possible together. Technology inspires and drives us; it is our passion. Every day we work on unique solutions to complex challenges. Whether it's ultra complex or ultra precise solutions, we are proud of what we do and what we deliver.

Want to find out together what's possible? Do you get energy from turning a factory floor into a place where improvement happens every day? Are you a hands-on Lean practitioner who knows how to coach people, challenge leadership and make results stick? Then get started as Operational Excellence Lead at NTS Singapore and let's make it possible together.

Job Description

As Operational Excellence Lead at NTS Singapore, you are the driving force behind our site's operational transformation. Working closely with the site leadership team and with production, engineering, maintenance, quality and supply chain, you develop and run the site's Operational Excellence roadmap and roll out NTS standards such as Daily Performance Management, Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Standard Work and Leader Standard Work. Your main focus is improving logistics and production productivity, with measurable, double-digit impact on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP). You don't stop at finding opportunities. You make sure improvements are put into practice, built into daily operations and sustained over time. Acting as a role model and challenger, you bring an outside-in view, benchmark performance internally and externally, and build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:

  • Develop and execute the site's Operational Excellence roadmap, aligned with factory and business objectives, and lead the annual Strategy Deployment cycle with monthly follow-up reviews;

  • Lead multiple cross-functional improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to eliminate waste, standardise processes and improve productivity, quality and cost;

  • Prepare and facilitate Value Stream Mapping sessions, Kaizen events, root cause analyses and problem-solving workshops (3C, A3, DMAIC);

  • Analyse operational data and performance metrics to make waste visible, prioritise initiatives and track benefits realisation and sustainability;

  • Build site-wide capability by training and coaching managers, supervisors and shopfloor teams in Lean thinking, structured problem solving and change management;

  • Support leadership with performance management and daily management systems, and act as a constructive challenger to the site leadership team;

  • Support digitalisation and automation initiatives, and report progress and results to factory leadership and senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field;

  • 5–8 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean or Manufacturing Excellence roles in a manufacturing environment;

  • Proven track record of leading OpEx transformations and delivering measurable, sustainable improvements, including implementing operating models across departments;

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Visual Management, A3 problem solving and Value Stream Mapping; a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is highly desirable;

  • Strong analytical skills, combined with a pragmatic, data-driven and results-oriented way of working;

  • A natural coach and change agent who can influence without formal authority, with strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills at all levels, from shopfloor operators to senior leaders;

  • Excellent English, spoken and written; consulting experience is a plus.

Your terms of employment

At NTS, we combine our passion for technology with innovative solutions to complex challenges. You get the freedom and confidence to fully use and develop your talents in a dynamic and energetic environment. We invest both in technology and in you as a future colleague!

Your unique challenge at NTS includes at least the following conditions:

  • Competitive salary;

  • Annual Wage Supplement;

  • Term Life & Medical Insurance Coverage;

  • Personal growth and development opportunities through training and/or education;

  • 18 days of Annual Leave.
