By leading rigorous risk assessments, driving global compliance, and orchestrating centralized oversight of Product Safety processes, you'll ensure consistent, process-driven execution across all execution units—directly boosting operational efficiency, reducing risks at scale, and accelerating high-impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure robust product safety processes are established and consistently followed by all Digital Grid segments for all products launched to market.
  • Conduct independent reviews of project artifacts to verify evidence of comprehensive, data-driven risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation implementation across design, development, and deployment phases.
  • Validate that residual risks are properly documented and communicated through clear, user-centric manuals, warnings, and other resources.
  • Ensure that all processes are followed rigorously and that product safety requirements are consistently met.
  • Monitor compliance with defined standards and emerging regulations, ensuring that all products adhere to safety and quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Orchestrate product safety responsible persons from segments to make sure that all product safety risks are identified, assessed managed, documented and mitigated effectively.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate product safety risk management strategies and product safety aspects into project planning and execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing product safety processes and compliance measures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and product safety and conformity.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Certifications in risk management, quality standards or process governance (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt) are desirable.
  • 5+ years of hands-on expertise in product safety, functional safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance, with demonstrated success in centralized governance or product safety or quality management within the energy, utilities, or high-tech sectors.
  • Experience with digital grid technologies, IoT-enabled devices, or smart infrastructure is a strong advantage.
  • Deep proficiency in risk assessment frameworks, compliance auditing tools, quality management systems and QMiP/process governance methodologies; expertise in audit planning, FMEA, data analytics, and digital quality dashboards for cross-unit performance tracking.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills to align global teams, present findings to leadership, a meticulous, analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving capabilities and a proven ability to enforce standards without compromising.
