Role Overview
As a Nurse Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide essential patient care, assist in care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your contributions directly support our nursing teams in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

What You Will Do
- Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
- Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
- Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNA certification preferred.
