Nightingale Education Group

Remote

General Education Assistant Professor.

REMOTEPEOPLE & OPS

About the Role

This posting is for our prospect talent pool, we do not have a current opening for this role, but we're expecting to send offers out this fall into next year, and we're building a pipeline of strong candidates now so we're ready to move quickly when a position opens. If you apply, your information will be kept on file and a recruiter will reach out when a role becomes available.

Nightingale College is looking for an Assistant Professor I, General Education to join our faculty community and help shape the academic foundation our students build their nursing careers on. In this role, you'll develop, teach, and evaluate one or more general education courses; advising and mentoring students while keeping a close eye on their progress against course objectives and published schedules, all under the guidance of the Director, General Education.

This is a remote position with just one required trip per year and one orientation trip required, making it a great fit for educators who want deep teaching impact without sacrificing flexibility.

Budgeted Salary Range: $65,000.00

What You'll Do

  • Develop, administer, teach, and evaluate students in general education coursework
  • Advise and mentor students throughout their coursework
  • Monitor student performance against course objectives and published schedules
  • Complete annual professional development to keep growing in your craft
  • Deliver fast, personalized grading — all grading completed within 5 days of week's end
  • Post at least two personalized weekly announcements and participate in discussion boards at least three separate days a week, with substantive replies that push discussions forward
  • Provide meaningful, written feedback on instructor-graded work for any student who didn't score 100%
  • Run regular office hours, review sessions, or tutorials, and proactively identify support for at-risk students

What You Bring

  • A Master's Degree in your teaching domain from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 18 credit hours of direct study in the discipline you'll be teaching
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in higher education (online experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (online preferred)

If you believe in growth, your own and your students', and want your teaching to ladder up to something bigger, we'd love to meet you.

All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
