This role is ideal for an mid-level career Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and can confidently coordinate people, resources, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. You'll take ownership of projects from handover through to customer acceptance, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

We are seeking a hands-on project leader who is comfortable working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and driving results through collaboration rather than technical expertise alone. This role will be remotely based in the Brisbane area, with a preference for candidates located near a major airport to support travel requirements.

  • Develop project plans, including resource requirements, and lead a project team to deliver contracted outcomes
  • Manage contract scope, variations, and monitor progress, keeping all stakeholders informed
  • Communicate project plans, progress, and timing with customers, managing their expectations and responsibilities
  • Monitor milestones and ensure project tasks are completed and documented throughout the lifecycle
  • Consult with experts to manage compliance risks and engage third parties as needed
  • Proactively manage cash flow and financial goals
  • Document lessons learned and perform root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions
  • Deliver project handovers and compliance documentation
  • Conduct project reviews with department leaders and project teams, evaluating risk, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Promote a “Safety First” culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline is desirable but not essential
  • 3-5 years of project management experience leading complex, customer-facing projects from initiation through delivery
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project planning, risk management, budgeting, and project delivery expertise in industries such as manufacturing, food processing, mining, construction, industrial equipment, engineering services, or similar
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, make decisions, and deliver outcomes in remote and dynamic operating environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels
  • Commercial acumen and a customer-focused approach
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines, manage ambiguity, and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work in both an open office setting and on industrial customer worksites
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are advantageous but not required
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid passport, have an unrestricted driver's licence in the country of residence, and be able to travel domestically up to 30%

We welcome candidates from engineering, project coordination, manufacturing, construction, technical customer service, operations, site supervision, and similar backgrounds who are interested in developing a career in project management. You don't need to meet every requirement. If you have experience coordinating projects, working in technical environments, or supporting customer-facing work and are looking to grow your project management career, we'd love to hear from you.
