The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Project Planner to join our Capital Projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules across a portfolio of capital projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource allocation, and accurate forecasting to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Manage portfolio schedules, resource planning, and project milestones.
- Monitor project progress and provide schedule performance reporting.
- Conduct schedule analysis, forecasting, and critical path reviews.
- Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support project governance, planning standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture through active field engagement and collaboration.
About You
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and construction sequencing.
- Experience with EcoSys or similar project controls software is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in project delivery, planning, or scheduling.
- Proven experience developing and managing project schedules.
- Exposure to capital projects, construction, mining, or industrial environments is highly regarded.
- Project Management training or certification is desirable.
