About the Role
The role includes:
- Assisting with the design and engineering of façades for building projects in Hong Kong and across Asia.
- Carrying out engineering calculations and basic structural analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assisting in the preparation of calculation reports, drawings and technical documentation.
- Supporting the review of shop drawings, material submissions and contractor-provided calculations.
- Participating in site and factory inspections relating to façade fabrication and installation alongside senior team members.
- Participating in meetings alongside senior team members to provide engineering input to the design process.
- Daily communication with the Associates and team members to ensure project alignment.
- Developing knowledge of façade systems, materials, construction methods and relevant local codes and standards.
Requirements (Compulsory)
Skills and Experience
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant engineering or construction experience are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and an interest in façade engineering and building design.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with engineering software.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, willing to learn and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements (Preferred)
- Previous internship or project experience related to façade, structural or building engineering would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software (e.g. Strand7, SAP2000).
- Familiarity with structural engineering and engineering calculations.
- Knowledge of Hong Kong building regulations and submission requirements would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage.
