Thank you! Job Summary This position is located primarily at the NTC’s Agriculture Center of Excellence. This is a paid position through work-study or student employment and allows students to grow in leadership, professional and soft skills. Agriculture positions will report to Faculty, Animal & Dairy Science, and will be paid an hourly rate of $15.00. Application Information While there may not be an immediate need for a student employee in every area, Northcentral Technical College (NTC) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future part-time student employee opportunities and your application will be on file as a potential candidate who could possibly fill a position if or when the need arises. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Primary duties will be performed outside and within the farm buildings. Duties to include cleaning, feed and care of animals, mowing and snow removal. Jobs in this area may also include tours of the farm and use of NTC vehicle to transport items between the main Wausau Campus and Center for Agriculture. Administrative duties such as data entry, filing, copying, electronic file management, database work, creating spreadsheets, office reception, stuffing folders, preparing packets, ordering supplies, typing and processing daily mail may also be included. This is not an all-inclusive list of duties. NOTE: It is in your best interest to apply for more than one position, in the event other candidates are already being considered for this position, you want to leave your options open for other positions. Student and Federal Work-Study employees may work up to 20 hours per week total. You will need to re-apply at the beginning of each semester for work-study/student positions due to any school or work-study changes that may have occurred changing your status. Each semester, the applications for each position will be refreshed with new applications of those who re-apply to keep the applicant pool current for supervisors. Minimum Qualifications Required Must be an active student enrolled in at least 6 credits. Please note that students are not permitted to work in Federal Work-Study positions during scheduled class times. Applicant must be detail oriented, have good communication skills, able to prioritize tasks and be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Confidentiality is a must. Applicant must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver License and ability to pass NTC insurance carrier standards.
