Your responsibilities Perform software checkout, commissioning, and startup activities for converting roll machines at customer sites and remotely. Troubleshoot software, process, machinery, and tooling issues to ensure reliable equipment performance during testing and production. Carry out maintenance activities, quality checks, and performance reviews while recommending upgrades and spare parts to optimize operations. Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices to maximize productivity and efficiency. Collaborate with technical teams to improve software programming and develop enhanced automation solutions. Expectations for you Technical school diploma or degree in Electronics, Software, Automation, Informatics, or a related field 2–3 years of experience as a Software Technician in manufacturing; experience in the converting industry is an advantage Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, controls engineering, and machine safety systems, including Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Rockwell platforms Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and task management skills Availability and willingness to travel extensively worldwide Professional proficiency in both English and Italian To succeed in this role Success in this position requires strong automation and software expertise, a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges, and the ability to build trust with customers.
