Career Stream Tasks This role oversees the end-to-end preparation of: Peer-reviewed manuscripts, Congress abstracts, Scientific posters and oral-presentation materials, Consensus papers and expert recommendations Other scientific communication deliverables supporting Galderma’s Therapeutic Dermatology, Injectable Aesthetics and Dermatological Skin care Portfolio. The combines advanced medical-writing and publication-planning expertise with a strong understanding of medical design, data visualization, submission requirements, and publication governance. GPP 2022 applies to company-sponsored peer-reviewed and peer-oriented publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and meeting presentations. The position leads medical writers and medical-design professionals, supports their development, and strengthens the team’s capabilities, processes and Provide senior-level scientific and editorial direction throughout publication development, from concept and data interpretation through author review, submission, revision, and final publication. Applies relevant European Medicines Agency (EMA) / US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) requirements and guidance, such as current product-information, Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and Quality Review of Documents (QRD) standards. Monitor evolving requirements affecting biomedical publication, including artificial-intelligence policies. The January 2026 ICMJE recommendations state that AI technologies should not be listed as authors and that users should disclose the tool used and its purpose. Ensure publication objectives, scientific narratives, audiences, target journals, and congresses are clearly defined. Develop and maintain publication plans, timelines, priorities, resource forecasts, and delivery metrics. Anticipate publication risks, dependencies, and competing priorities, escalating issues and recommending practical solutions. Establish appropriate quality-control processes for scientific accuracy, data consistency, reference integrity, document versioning, design quality, and submission readiness. Ensure design choices strengthen scientific understanding without altering, overstating, or obscuring the underlying evidence. Confirm that final materials meet journal or congress specifications for dimensions, orientation, file format, resolution, font size, figure preparation, naming conventions, and upload requirements. Coordinate cross-functional input from Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, intellectual-property specialists, and other relevant partners. Manage external agencies, freelancers, vendors, and production partners, including scope, quality, timelines, budgets, and performance People leadership and team development Lead, coach, and develop professionals working across medical writing, publications, medical design, data visualization, editing, and production. Set clear objectives, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development plans. Allocate work according to business priorities, scientific complexity, individual capabilities, and available capacity. Identify capability gaps and implement targeted training, mentoring, recruitment, succession, or external-resource plans. Operational excellence tracking performance Develop and improve publication workflows, standard operating procedures, templates, checklists, quality controls, and governance mechanisms. Maintain and improve measurable indicators for quality, timeliness, author experience, resource utilization, budget performance, and process effectiveness - Stakeholder - Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across Galderma - Cooperate with and coordinate activities with external service providers - Advise and guide customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and tools Experience Level 10+ years’ experience leading small to mid size teams and developing, tracking, and optimising demand-management and resource-planning models in a global environment Strong knowledge of publication standards, journal and congress submission requirements, scientific design principles, and data visualisation Experience people leader in organizational design, change management, Medical, R&D, and managing an integrated remote working team within the India market Experience managing medical writing and medical-design professionals, including workload allocation, coaching, performance feedback, and capability development. Practical experience with, quality standards, systems, and processes used within a pharmaceutical organisation.
