About The Role
Digital Zone is a fast-growing digital payments and voucher platform, active in Iraq and expanding into Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We operate across gaming, telco, streaming, e-commerce, and live events , and we’re building the marketing team to match our ambitions. We’re looking for a CRM Executive in Iraq to own customer lifecycle marketing across our mini apps, taking over from the interim CRM Manager within the first 3 months.
What You’ll Do
Campaigns & Lifecycle
• Plan and run a monthly CRM calendar across push, in-app, SMS, WhatsApp and email
• Build and optimise lifecycle journeys: onboarding, first purchase, repeat purchase, win-back and re-activation
• Launch event-driven campaigns for Ticket Zone, seasonal travel for Rahal, and gaming and top-up promotions
• Write and localise copy in Iraqi Arabic and English, with Kurdish where needed
Segmentation & Data
• Segment users by behaviour, product, spend, location and lifecycle stage
• Run A/B tests on messages, timing, offers and channels, and roll out the winners
• Track and report weekly on open, click, conversion, retention and churn metrics
• Keep customer data clean and compliant with internal privacy and security rules
Offers & Loyalty
• Design promo codes, cashback and referral mechanics, and monitor their cost and monetary
• Work with partnerships to secure brand offers that drive engagement
Collaboration
• Coordinate placements and messaging with product teams
• Brief design for creatives and work with product on in-app triggers
• Feed customer support insights into campaigns, including anti-fraud awareness messages
Handover
• Take over CRM tools, playbooks, campaign calendar and reporting from the interim CRM Manager
• Document processes so the CRM function runs independently
Requirements
Must-Haves
• 2–4 years in CRM, retention or lifecycle marketing at an app, e-commerce, fintech, telecom or gaming company
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, IT or a related field
• Hands-on experience with a CRM or engagement platform (e.g. MoEngage, CleverTap, Braze, Insider, HubSpot or similar)
• Comfortable with data: Excel or Google Sheets at an advanced level; basic SQL is a strong plus
• Arabic and English speaker
• Strong copywriting instincts and a clear sense of what resonates with Iraqi users
• Based in Iraq and able to work from Baghdad
Nice to Have
• Kurdish language skills
• Experience in gaming, telco, fintech, or e-commerce categories
• Familiarity with markets (Iraq, KSA, UAE)
• Experience working alongside growth/performance marketing teams
• Experience with analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase or Google Analytics
• Experience running loyalty, referral or cashback programmes
