Here, you’ll contribute to outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success. The Role As Lead Engineer, Collaboration Platforms, you will lead the design, engineering and evolution of CPP Investments’ enterprise audiovisual (AV) and collaboration technology environment. You will provide senior technical expertise across meeting room systems, conferencing platforms, digital signage, AV infrastructure and integrated workplace technologies to deliver secure, reliable and seamless collaboration experiences. Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and external partners, you will shape the AV technology roadmap, lead complex engineering initiatives, resolve critical technical issues and support the continued evolution of our workplace collaboration capabilities. The Team The Collaboration Platforms team supports CPP Investments’ enterprise audiovisual and collaboration technology environment, enabling effective communication and collaboration across the organization. The team focuses on the design, engineering, integration and ongoing evolution of meeting room technologies, conferencing platforms and supporting workplace solutions to deliver reliable and intuitive user experiences. Accountabilities Lead the design, engineering and evolution of enterprise AV and collaboration solutions, including meeting rooms, conferencing systems, digital signage, AV over IP, control systems and supporting infrastructure. Provide senior-level (L3) engineering expertise, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across complex AV, collaboration and integrated workplace technologies, while supporting operational teams and critical executive and Board-level engagements. Develop and maintain the AV technology roadmap, including lifecycle planning, technical debt, emerging technologies, upgrades and opportunities to improve platform reliability and performance. Engineer and support integrations across AV and workplace technology platforms, including AppSpace, Cisco Spaces, ServiceNow Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), room booking, occupancy analytics and monitoring solutions. Lead technical evaluations, proofs of concept and collaboration technology projects from solution design through implementation, testing and operational transition, ensuring solutions meet security, scalability and user-experience requirements. Partner with Architecture, Information Security, Network, Workplace Experience and external vendors to review technical designs, oversee solution quality and coordinate complex technology initiatives. Provide technical leadership, mentorship and knowledge sharing across engineering and support teams, while contributing to vendor management, budgeting, procurement and technology investment planning. What You Bring Significant experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise AV and collaboration technologies within large, complex technology environments, with deep expertise in meeting room systems, audio and video technologies, AV over IP and supporting infrastructure. Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities, including experience resolving complex L3 issues across AV systems, collaboration platforms, networks and integrated technologies. Experience with enterprise collaboration technologies, including Cisco and Microsoft solutions, and familiarity with workplace platforms such as AppSpace, Cisco Spaces, ServiceNow WSD and Vyopta. Experience developing technology roadmaps, evaluating emerging solutions, managing platform lifecycles and leading technical implementations and upgrades. Experience working with AV integrators and technology vendors, including reviewing technical designs, proposals and statements of work. Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex issues and guide practical solutions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations, influence stakeholders and mentor colleagues across multidisciplinary teams. You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment. We provide colleagues with cutting-edge AI tools, dedicated learning time, and practical support to help them deliver with greater impact.
