Our student placements offer hands-on experience and meaningful work while contributing to initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the client experience. The National Office Technical stream provides hands-on experience with the systems, data, analytics, and automation capabilities that support operations across PCO. Workforce Management Analytics supports performance and capacity planning by enabling forecasting, modeling, and workforce optimization across contact centres and operational teams. Control Monitoring & Data Testing evaluates the effectiveness of operational controls by using data-driven testing, automated monitoring, and analytical routines aligned with risk and compliance standards. What will you do? Depending on your placement, you may: Build or enhance automation scripts, data pipelines, dashboards, or applications supporting operational teams. Analyze large datasets and translate findings into insights for decision-making, reporting, or performance monitoring. Support the testing, documentation, and improvement of technical solutions, data assets, or business-critical applications. Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and assist with enhancements aligned to system stability, resiliency, and control effectiveness. Collaborate with technology and business partners to deliver data-driven, scalable, and efficient solutions. Contribute to process digitization, analytics routines, control monitoring, or model development depending on your assigned team. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary (university/college) program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Technology, or another related technical discipline. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Excel and at least one programming or query language (e.g., SQL, Python, Java, NET, VBA). Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly with strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment with occasional remote work as required. Available to work a 7.5-hour day, Monday to Friday, with hours varying between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., depending on business requirements and team schedules. Nice-to-have (varies by placement): Experience with data visualization or automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, UiPath, Power Automate). Familiarity with databases, data engineering concepts, or cloud technologies. Exposure to software development practices, application support, or workflow automation. Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical insights to non-technical stakeholders. Bilingualism (English/French) written and spoken. Please note: This is a primarily in-person role. To be eligible for these student positions, you must either: Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
