Job Description Motorola Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions that power critical communications and public safety for our global customers. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems across various platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, other engineering teams) to define, design, and ship new features. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues. Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions. Document software designs, specifications, and technical requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or C#. Experience with software development on Linux or Windows operating systems. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus. Knowledge of networking protocols, distributed systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
