Brookings Health System is seeking a Coder Specialist to join our team! Compensation range for this position is $21.86 to $32.37, depending on experience. Coders assign appropriate codes using CPT, ICD-10 and HCPC's for all charges according to national and payor guidelines and physician direction, ensuring compliance with coding standards, regulations, and NCCI edits. They work with physicians and management staff to resolve coding and reimbursement issues and patient concerns. Coders coordinate with the billing team on insurance appeals on denied claims due to coding issues.
