As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT), you'll perform complex laboratory testing and analysis that directly contributes to accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and outstanding patient outcomes. What You'll Do Perform and evaluate complex laboratory testing across multiple laboratory disciplines. Analyze patient specimens and verify test results for accuracy and clinical significance. Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and validate laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes. Assist with method validations, proficiency testing, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain laboratory records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Communicate critical findings and collaborate with healthcare providers regarding laboratory results. Support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards. Serve as a laboratory resource for staff, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
