EDF UK

Lead Digital Delivery Manager.

FULL TIMESENIOR LEVEL

Are you an experienced project delivery leader who enjoys bringing structure, consistency and high standards to complex digital portfolios while helping others develop and succeed?

At EDF power solutions, we're shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action, delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

You'll play a key role in strengthening how digital projects are delivered across our business. Combining portfolio oversight, project governance and people leadership, you'll help embed best practice, drive continuous improvement and support Digital Delivery Managers as they grow their careers and capability.

The Opportunity

As Lead Digital Delivery Manager, you'll help shape and maintain a strong project delivery culture across our digital portfolio. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide leadership across project governance, delivery standards and portfolio management, ensuring projects are delivered in a consistent, controlled and effective way. You'll have the opportunity to influence how our delivery function operates, driving improvements that support successful outcomes across the business.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll join us in a remote role with flexibility to work from home. Travel will be required for project and business meetings, typically around twice per month, with regular opportunities to connect with colleagues and stakeholders in London, Durham and Edinburgh.

This is also a fantastic opportunity to develop and mentor a growing team of Digital Delivery Managers. You'll help raise delivery capability across the function, providing coaching, support and guidance to individuals who are building their project management careers. Your expertise will help establish a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence that supports our wider digital strategy.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen, we're the UK & Ireland's most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low-carbon energy and we'd love you to help us get there.

Who You Are

We're looking for a Lead Digital Delivery Manager who is confident driving governance, improving delivery standards and developing people. You'll combine strong project management expertise with a passion for coaching others and creating successful delivery environments.

To be shortlisted, you'll need:

  • Significant experience delivering and governing complex portfolios, programmes or projects within a structured project management environment.
  • Experience establishing, maintaining and improving project delivery standards, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing and developing Project Managers, Delivery Managers or similar project professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of project portfolio management, project governance and delivery lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing project risks, issues, budgets, reporting and stakeholder engagement across multiple initiatives.
  • Previous experience working within highly regulated or complex organisational environments.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as Prince2 Practitioner, P3O, MSP or equivalent.

We're open to candidates from a variety of sectors. Previous renewables experience isn't essential. We'd welcome applications from individuals with experience in utilities, financial services, defence, telecommunications, infrastructure, government, healthcare or other highly regulated environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing a team of Digital Delivery Managers.
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues to strengthen project delivery capability and consistency.
  • Embedding project management best practice, governance and delivery standards across the portfolio.
  • Providing oversight and assurance across digital projects and programmes.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes and ways of working.
  • Supporting effective portfolio management, planning and prioritisation activities.
  • Reviewing project performance and helping teams overcome delivery challenges.
  • Managing governance, reporting and stakeholder communications.
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Supporting successful delivery of digital initiatives that enable business growth and transformation.
