Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for an Assistant Solicitor to join a busy Private Client department, in a successful and progressive law firm in Northampton.
Key Tasks:
- Managing a full caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate and Estate Management, Lasting Powers of Attorney, drafting legal documents and all other related tasks,
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a qualified Solicitor (NQ to 5 years PQE), Legal Executive or experienced Private Client fee earner.
- Proven experience handling a broad private client caseload.
- Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate and estate administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in dealing directly with clients and third parties.
- Commercial awareness.
- IT Literate with the ability to learn and use case management systems effectively.
Desirable Skills:
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP.
- Experience of trusts and complex estate planning.
- Marketing, networking or departmental growth
- Supervisory or mentoring experience.
Benefits
Salary up to £75,000 pa depending on PQE + Benefits
