We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as a Maintenance Specialist. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. THE ROLE: The Maintenance Specialist’s primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment and machines. Repair and maintain the company’s plant & equipment. Ensure the effective operations of the service supplies, including electricity generators, steam boilers, water storage treatment and pumping, and compressed air. Install new machinery and equipment. Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate the available information. Ensure that Health & Safety and HACCP guidelines are being met throughout the maintenance operations, including good hygienic standards. QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED: A minimum of four (4) CXC passes, including English and Mathematics. City and Guild Certification in Plant Maintenance or a relevant Trade. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar capacity. Ability to perform duties with limited supervision. Ability to work shifts, on weekends and flexible hours. Must be meticulous. Must be safety conscious. Must have strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Should be computer literate. Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical/electronic problems. Self-motivated with a good work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
