Position: Tax Specialist (Contract) Job Type: Long-term contractual position with a six-month renewal cycle Location : Hyderabad Process Description: Senior Tax Specialist/Tax Analyst position in Corteva Direct and Indirect tax process is the role to prepare & support various direct and indirect tax and direct tax compliance filings for India. Tax Analyst job responsibilities include: Ø Prepare and to file various Taxation returns and payments with the tax and revenue department. Ø The person should have broad understanding of Indirect Tax and Direct Tax Laws – GST and Income Tax Laws Ø Understand and look after full cycle corporate income tax and GST compliances Ø Preparation of monthly GST and corporate income tax provisions as per local GAAP and US GAAP Ø Prepare monthly/quarterly estimate income tax payments/GST Payments Ø Preparation and processing of tax journals and monthly reconciliation of tax accounts Ø Assistance with Financial Statements tax provisions and tax notes Ø Prepare, request, reconcile, and follow up open issues on Tax Bulletins for various and Foreign subsidiaries. Ø Extract various reports from financial accounting ERP’s and perform analysis Ø Assist in Tax department audits and assessments Ø Assist in quarterly accrual process & various projects when needed Impact on the Business & Teamwork Ø Ability to research, interpret and apply tax legislations, case laws and rulings Ø Working with the country tax leadership and ancillary finance functions to ensure delivery as per agreed timelines. Ø Publishing performance dashboards and required tax specific reporting. Ø Ensure proactive controls in place to highlight issues before they are picked up by business. Ø Adheres to Corteva Internal control policies and procedures, including established SOX compliance processes. Ø Develop an in-depth knowledge of accounting flows tax frame works in order to support the process Principal Accountabilities: Key activities Ø Ensure 100% tax compliance, service delivery and adherence to all Key Control Activities. Ø Ensure the basic process documentation is completed for all the activities. Skills/Experience Required Qualification and basic requirements: · Graduates/Postgraduates with accounting/ commerce background with 4 – 5 years of experience in handling Indirect Tax and income tax compliances. Preference will be given to candidates having India GST and direct tax compliance experience. · Ability to develop effective working relationships with business stakeholders. · An excellent attention to detail. · Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. · Position requires strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency in the use of tax software like OneSource. · Ability to research and understand principles of Indirect Tax and corporate income tax laws.
