As a System Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting and selling innovative construction technology solutions and engineering software to clients in the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), and manufacturing industries. You will help businesses improve productivity, project efficiency, and digital transformation by understanding their operational needs and recommending the right solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, social media, and market research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders within the construction industry.
- Understand clients' business challenges and recommend suitable construction software, engineering systems, and digital solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, live demonstrations, and client meetings to showcase the value of construction technology solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and negotiate contracts to successfully close sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Coordinate with the technical and implementation teams to ensure smooth deployment and customer onboarding.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients by providing excellent after-sales support and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging construction technologies to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline updates using the company's CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or any related field.
- Must have at least 3 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in construction products, engineering solutions, construction software, or technology products.
- Experience selling to construction firms, engineering companies, contractors, developers, or manufacturing companies is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management abilities.
- Comfortable conducting product demonstrations and explaining technical solutions to clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for exceeding sales targets.
