Job Title: Yard Spotter Department: Production & Skilled Trades Country: United States of America State/Province: New Jersey City: Jersey City Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under close supervision, this position is responsible for positioning truck tractors and trailers to ensure a safe and efficient operation by moving equipment to and from loading docks, maintenance bays and other designated areas. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Move and position equipment on company facilities according to operations and maintenance needs Perform other duties as required or assigned Observe all Company safety requirements Perform daily yard checks including inventory and counts Inspect truck equipment and gear for safe operation and compliance company regulations and procedures Qualifications: Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or up to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed Preferred Qualification: 3+ years of related experience Ability to exercise discretion Ability to multitask Ability to work both independently/autonomously Proficient active listening skills Proficient organizational skills Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including: lifting above 50 lbs., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE). Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm The expected starting pay for this postiion is between $23.10 - $28.85 per hour. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
