Supported Living Director

Pinnacle Developmental Care

Pinnacle Developmental Care is seeking an experienced, motivated leader to oversee and develop our Supported Living services. As Pinnacle continues to grow, we are looking for someone who can build strong teams, develop Program Managers, improve operational systems, and ensure individuals receive reliable, high-quality, person-centered services. The Supported Living Director reports to the Operations Director and provides leadership across assigned Supported Living programs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop Supported Living Program Managers and other assigned leaders.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, service continuity, and after-hours escalation systems across multiple programs.
  • Ensure services reflect individual choice, independence, rights, ISPs, and authorized support plans.
  • Monitor service quality, documentation, incident response, health and safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop consistent departmental procedures, expectations, and accountability systems.
  • Oversee employee performance, leadership development, and workforce stability.
  • Manage departmental resources, staffing efficiency, overtime, and operational budgets.
  • Coordinate new service referrals, intakes, transitions, and program development.
  • Build productive relationships with individuals, families, case managers, ODDS, health professionals, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with Pinnacle's leadership team on strategic priorities, organizational improvement, and sustainable growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Progressively responsible experience in IDD services, human services, health care, or a related service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising leaders, managers, or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience coordinating community-based services or multi-site operations, including staffing, service quality, and operational problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centered practices, individual rights, incident response, documentation, workforce management, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to interpret and implement individual support plans, regulations, policies, budgets, and operational information.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage competing priorities, resolve conflict, and make sound decisions during urgent situations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, technology, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet applicable background-check and employment requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when required for assigned responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, health care administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Previous experience managing Oregon IDD Supported Living or 24-hour services.
  • Experience supervising Program Managers or other frontline supervisors.
  • Familiarity with Oregon Administrative Rules and ODDS requirements.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, staffing costs, quality improvement, and organizational growth.
  • Experience coordinating complex individual transitions and interdisciplinary supports.

What Makes Someone Successful?

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who develops others, builds effective systems, and takes ownership of outcomes. They balance compassion with accountability, think beyond immediate staffing challenges, and understand how to create dependable services without compromising individual choice or independence. This position requires someone who can lead through others, make thoughtful decisions, communicate clearly, and help Pinnacle continue building a sustainable Supported Living department.

We encourage qualified internal employees who are ready for expanded leadership responsibilities to apply.
