What you will be doing: The role of Purchasing Officer will work within our ever-growing Supply Chain, and will be responsible for material control across our multi-disciplinary Manufacturing site. You will need to have strong communication skills ensuring the best customer service is upheld when managing our suppliers day-to-day. In this role, you will be required to work under pressure using your initiative to analyse and resolve complex supply problems. Key Responsibilities: Day to Day Vendor Management & Supplier Relationship Management Running MRP for responsible vendors Managing activities such as placing and rescheduling parts and cancellations of orders Collate purchase orders & purchase requisitions to fulfil demand. Track the status of responsible orders Review deliveries against the orders, including ‘on time in full’ reporting Review component Obsolete & Excess values & Qtys Support internal stakeholders such as finance, Incoming Quality & Production Ensure a strong standard of organisation is upheld with PO’s/ acknowledgements Process Improvements (PI) activities, such as automation and process reviews Negotiating with suppliers on Lead Time Improvements & Cost Reductions Who are we looking for? Excellent time management disciplines whilst also maintaining attention to detail. Strong problem solving skills.
