ALTEN is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical capabilities while working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination and delivery of civil engineering solutions across various project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of civil engineering design activities from concept through to detailed design.
- Produce and review technical calculations, reports and engineering documentation.
- Assist with site development, infrastructure and utility designs.
- Support drainage, earthworks and civil engineering assessments.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical and project engineering teams.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
- Support project delivery activities to achieve cost, quality and schedule objectives.
- Contribute to technical problem solving and engineering improvement initiatives.
- Assist with preparation of engineering deliverables and project documentation.
Required Skills:
- Experience working on infrastructure, construction, utilities or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of civil engineering design principles and industry standards.
- Experience preparing technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach to engineering challenges.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design software.
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Drainage Design
- Earthworks
- Site Development
- Utilities Infrastructure
- Highway Design
- Experience within Nuclear, Energy, Water, Rail or Infrastructure sectors.
- Progress towards ICE professional membership or chartership pathway.
