This individual will play a pivotal role in driving financial integrity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the finance function — while championing the adoption of AI and automation to transform how the team works. Key Responsibilities Team Development & Leadership Actively coach, mentor, and grow team members — creating individual development plans, providing regular feedback, and offering stretch assignments that build capability and confidence. AI & Process Innovation Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes. Identify practical use cases where AI can reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, or accelerate decision-making, and lead their implementation in partnership with IT. Prepare, review, and deliver accurate, AI-enhanced financial reports and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. Core Finance Responsibilities Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial presentations, providing clear, actionable explanations to management. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with peers across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and other business units. Act as a solutions-oriented partner — approaching challenges with resolution, innovation, and constructive dialogue. What you bring to the table: CPA designation is required Minimum 5-years of progressive experience in finance or accounting – is required Minimum 2-years experience managing direct reports coaching, mentoring, performance managing and delegating responsibilities - is required Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI tools, automation, and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, generative AI tools) applied to finance processes. Demonstrated bias for action: a self-starter who identifies problems and drives solutions without being prompted. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into practical next steps. Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls frameworks, and financial reporting standards. Excellent communicator: articulates ideas clearly and confidently, adapts style to audience, and actively listens. Detail-oriented, with a high standard of accuracy and thoroughness in all deliverables.
