As a Senior Sales Representative, you will lead the Atlantic industrial account sales team in collaboration with head office. You will have the ability to manage the purchasing of scrap metal within a defined territory and support business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
What you’re responsible for:
- Purchasing scrap metal to support tonnage and profitability targets;
- Visiting industrial suppliers in person to promote new and repeat business opportunities;
- Serving as a trusted point of contact for suppliers by providing pricing information, answering questions, and resolving issues;
- Supporting prospecting efforts to identify new customers and business opportunities;
- Developing a network of contacts to gather market insights and pricing trends;
- Leading profit and loss analysis;
- Developing knowledge of yard operations to better understand and support pricing strategies;
- Coordinating with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions.
To join our team:
- You have a College Diploma in Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience;
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience (experience in recycling, metals, or industrial sales is an asset);
- You have a valid driver's license;
- You have strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills;
- You have strong skills in analyzing results;
- You have excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- You are able to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and trainings.
