About the job Alfa Laval MESEA is looking for a new Field Service Team Manager for Service Operations Organization reporting to the Regional Field Service Manager. As Field Service Team Manager, you will lead the Service transformation in a team of Field Service Engineers, for decanters, high speed separators and heat exchangers jobs across the Eastern and Southern Africa region. The main responsibilities will be to bring focused leadership to a team of service engineers to maintain operational capability whilst balancing the needs of the customer, business and the team. Support and coordinate team members to: - Create excellent customer experience - Meet the Service market demands The main tasks will be: Secure a strong QHSE culture within the team. Lead the team giving directions and ensuring that they are performing with a strong customer orientated mindset. Ensure that FSEs with the correct skills are selected in close cooperation with coordinators for complex jobs. Ensure that the team are equipped with the right tools and the tools are fit for purposes. Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports and secure a proper competence development Manage basic performance issues within the team appropriately and quickly. Conduct FSE’s employee reviews, include competence profile and skills matrix updates accordingly Ensure effective management of people in remote areas Ensure proper handover of jobs for invoicing on time Implement continuous efficiency improvements utilizing innovative processes and technologies. Leading change management to adapt to new market demands. Implement and follow up on relevant KPIs to measure and improve performance. Who you are A person who has high business acumen, customer focused mindset and sales oriented Persistent, flexible, and resilient, with high level of energy and proactiveness. Passionate about leading, developing, and motivating teams, and a change driver, making and executing the decisions. What you know You should have a degree/diploma in Engineering or Similar At least 5 years of experience managing teams of technicians/engineers Strong experience in Service, maintenance, repair, and assistance process.
