This position is ideal for a mortgage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with clients and referral partners, and takes pride in helping loans move smoothly from initial application through closing. The Loan Partner II works closely with a Loan Originator and the operations team to provide exceptional support throughout the mortgage process. This role combines loan origination support, pre-approvals, file preparation, pipeline management, client communication, and relationship building. What You’ll Do As a Loan Partner II, you will play an important role in both the client experience and the lending team's success. Responsibilities include: Assist borrowers with completing mortgage applications and gathering required documentation, including income, assets, liabilities, credit information, and other supporting documents. Review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness and identify missing or additional items needed to move the loan forward. Pre-qualify borrowers and assist with preparing accurate pre-approvals in a timely manner. Work with Loan Originator to evaluate loan scenarios and help structure appropriate financing options based on borrower needs and applicable guidelines. Prepare complete loan files for submission and ensure required documentation and disclosures are accurate and compliant. Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and other members of the operations team to address conditions and keep loans progressing toward closing. Maintain proactive communication with borrowers throughout the mortgage process, providing updates and helping answer questions along the way. Communicate regularly with Realtors, builders, referral partners, and other transaction participants to provide timely loan status updates. Coordinate with third-party vendors, including appraisers, title companies, insurance providers, and verification services. Monitor the loan pipeline, including purchase contracts, financing contingencies, rate locks, documentation deadlines, underwriting milestones, and closing dates. Identify potential issues early and work collaboratively with the Loan Originator and operations team to resolve them. Assist with client follow-up, referral partner communication, events, marketing initiatives, and other business-development activities. Help build and maintain strong relationships with clients, Realtors, and other referral partners through exceptional service and consistent communication. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about mortgage lending, highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. Qualifications include: Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in good standing. Minimum of 2–3 years of mortgage industry experience, preferably in loan origination, processing, or loan support. Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting requirements, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance. Experience reviewing borrower income, assets, credit, and other documentation used in mortgage qualification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple active loan files and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate potential issues before they impact the transaction. Professional, positive, and service-oriented approach when working with borrowers and referral partners. Proficiency with loan origination systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and other mortgage-related technology. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Who Will Succeed in This Role: You’ll be a great fit if you enjoy the combination of mortgage operations and relationship building. You are someone who takes ownership, follows through, communicates proactively, and understands that a successful mortgage experience depends on both accuracy behind the scenes and excellent communication with the people involved. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where priorities can change quickly, and deadlines matter. Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy helping borrowers and referral partners navigate the mortgage process.
